YouTube has become a non-perishable part of our lives now. Apart from its free-to-stream movies in the collection, the streamer also offers several films to watch that the audience enjoys, paying a reasonable price. But there is some good news now. YouTube has decided to add more content to its free-to-stream collection.

YouTube said in its blog post that it will add about 4,000 episodes of classic TV shows on its free streaming collection of 1,500 movies. The content can be accessed by U.S. users. These episodes of television series will be available under the 'Movies & Shows' tab on YouTube. The free service can be availed on the desktop, mobile and connected TV apps.

The new free-to-stream content will include classic sitcoms, dramas and reality shows like Gordon Ramsey-hosted food reality show, Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares where Ramsey visits failing restaurants and help the owners revive the business with his team. The collection will also have the comedy series, Scream Queens and drama Heartland. They will be available in 1080p HD with 5.1 surround sound on select devices.

According to Forbes, YouTube said that it will be adding 100 titles each week. The OTT platform has further said in its post that 135 million people watch videos on their connected TV apps and as that market is only likely to grow, they believe their decision to add to the free streaming content collection will only add to it. They will not only attract more consumers but possibly also advertisers.
