The story starts where it left in episode 3. The family is seen struggling to accept and make a new living arrangement, now that Georgie is moving out. And of course, Sheldon is seen coming to terms with it as we all know he's not a fan of change.
Story:
The latest episode 'Pish Posh and a Secret Back Room' of season 5 of Young Sheldon is all about the family adjusting to a new living arrangement after Georgie moves out. Missy and Sheldon get their own rooms while Georgie settles in the garage. Missy suggests the idea that Georgie lives in the garage so that George is happy that he's out and Mary is happy that he's around.
But as everyone adjusts to the arrangement, Sheldon is still seen struggling to accept it as we all know he is not a fan of change. And even though he pretends to be happy to have a room for himself after Missy moves to Georgie's room, we know he misses her. The scenes where he looks annoyed and brings a fake smile to his face, showing all his teeth out, is adorable, cute and also weirdly funny.
The conversations between Connie and her boyfriend is quite fun. She is seen as sassy as ever while also dealing with police after her new business goes under the drain.
Jim Parsons' narration with quirky dialogues adds to the show. It makes even a boring scene of washing machines in a laundry room interesting. It's good that the focus of the show has shifted from all suspense it's been creating about George and Brenda's affair. It is a good break but gets you to wonder if it's over for good or are the makers keeping it under wraps, probably just like George and Brenda are currently doing.
Verdict:
The new episode serves as a good break to Brenda and George's story and focuses on the family, which is the premise of the show. But at the same time, it pokes a curiosity in mind if this is being deliberately so that when George's affair is finally revealed, it leaves the audience shocked.
