Synopsis: Connie gets suspicious and starts snooping around while Missy starts questioning the existence of God.
Story:
The first episode of the new season saw there's something going on between George and Brenda. If it's just a friendship or something more than that is what we are yet to find. The new episode also has scenes of them hanging out in secret.
Review:
The second episode of season 5 of the family drama hints at something is definitely brewing between George and Brenda, making the audience even more curious. The two are seen secretly meeting each other and having some 'friendly' conversations. In of the scenes, George tells Brenda: "We shouldn't go to the bar at the same time, at least for a few days," which only adds fire to the fuel.
But Connie or Meemaw gets suspicious when she runs into Brenda and talks about the night George had a heart attack. George confronts Connie and tells her that there's nothing going on between the two and Connie seems not to buy it.
Meanwhile, Missy starts questioning God and this makes Sheldon happy. The new episode brings in a new character. Missy and Sheldon start liking the Sunday school especially when the new pastor takes over and this gets their mother Mary jealous to the core. Mary looks cute and adorable as she gets jealous and Missy, so mischievous, annoys her even more while Sheldon seems to care less.
The new episode makes you love Connie even more. Her expressions and wry smile are uncanny and impeccable, sure to bring a smile on your face. She was 'clearly lying' when she told George that all's good and that she's sorry to snoop around.
Verdict:
The second episode gets you even more curious to know if Brenda and George are having an affair and if Connie will be able to catch them red-handed. Catch the new episode on Amazon prime video.
