You Season 5 OTT release date: Penn Badgley returns as Joe Goldberg, the obsessive serial killer, with a 10-episode final season that brings his story to a close
Back to where it all began – that’s how the trailer of the latest, and what will be the last, season of the psychological thriller You was captioned. Released earlier today, the trailer of the series that follows Joe Goldberg, a man who stalks and kills the women he supposedly loves, also revealed when the last season will drop on the streamer.
The fifth and final season of You will drop on Netflix on April 24. All 10 episodes will be available on the day and will unfold the final chapter of Joe’s bloody tale. Based on the novels by Caroline Kepnes, You, which stars Penn Badgley as Joe, the book-loving, hopeless romantic who then stalks and kills the women he (claims to) loves, and anyone who gets in his way.
According to an official note from streamer Netflix, in the epic fifth and final season, Joe returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires. As the story unfolds, Joe meets a young woman, Bronte, played by Madeline Brewer (of The Handsmaid’s Tale), who makes him reconsider his affluent life, but will also contend with his wife Kate’s (Charlotte Ritchie) siblings.
