'You killed it!' Siddhant Chaturvedi reveals Ranveer Singh's voice note after Gully Boy's Berlin Film Festival premiere

Siddhant Chaturvedi made his big Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. In his first film, the actor worked with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. Siddhant essayed the role of a street rapper in the 2019 film. Recently, in an interview, Siddhant recalled what his co-star Ranveer had to say after Gully Boy premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. The actor revealed that he received a voice note from Ranveer at midnight.

When Ranveer Singh praised Siddhant Chaturvedi for Gully Boy

Speaking with Lallantop, Siddhant Chaturvedi recalled the time Gully Boy premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. Since a limited crew was allowed, Siddhant couldn't mark his presence. However, after the premiere, the actor received a voice note from his co-star, Ranveer Singh. "You killed it! Standing ovation. You have no idea your life is going to change!" Ranveer had told Siddhant.

Siddhant mentioned that Ranveer was happy for him after watching Gully Boy for the first time. He added that Singh sent him a long voice note and kept saying, "What have you done. This is iconic. What a character."

When Alia Bhatt also praised Siddhant Chaturvedi

Not just Ranveer Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi's Gully Boy co-star Alia Bhatt also appreciated his work in the Zoya Akhtar film. At the premiere of their film in India, Alia walked into an elevator where Siddhant was standing with his parents and brother. Before walking out of the lift, the actress turned around and told Chaturvedi, "You know your life is going to change, right?"

For Siddhant, it was a cinematic moment. And after the premiere was over, he was surrounded by media and fans. The actor also revealed that his father cried throughout the film and to date, he has seen Gully Boy 25 times.
