What is the film about?
You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah is about Stacey Friedman (Sunny Sandler), who is preparing for her bat mitzvah, which for her is one of the most important events of her young life. Everything is happy and rosy until she finds her best friend, Lydia Katz (Samantha Lorraine), kissing her crush, Andy Goldfarb (Dylan Hoffman). This leads to Stacey not inviting her one-time bestie to her bat mitzvah, hence the title of the film.

Did you know that the film is based on a young adult novel of the same name? You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah is a coming-of-age novel by Fiona Rosenbloom that was released in 2005. While the novel is set in the early 2000s, the film is set in the present day. Rosenbloom released a a follow-up novel called We Are So Crashing Your Bar Mitzvah, and if all goes well with this film, reports are that a sequel might just be made to the second novel.
