Yohani's Manike Mage Hithe to get a desi version for Ajay Devgn and Siddharth Malhotra starrer Thank God

The Hindi version of the chartbuster song will mark the Bollywood debut of Sri Lankan sensation Yohani with Bhushan Kumar-Indra Kumar's film Thank God, which also stars Rakul Preet Singh

Yohani to sing desi version of Manike Maga Hithe

The song Manike Mage Hithe had taken the internet by storm. Sung by the Sri Lankan sensation Yohani, it has become part of almost every other social media reel and playlist. The Sinhala viral song had hit more than 15 million views on YouTube. And now, there's some good news for the Indian fans of the song.

The singer is all set to drop the Hindi version of the song for the upcoming Hindi comedy film Thank God starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet and Siddharth Malhotra. The song will be composed by Tanishk and lyrics will be penned by Rashmi Virag. The Bhushan Kumar, Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria's slice-of-life comedy, which will mark Yohani's Bollywood debut, will release in theatres next year.

Singing sensation Yohani issued a statement saying she is elated to collaborate with India's biggest movie powerhouses. "I have received tremendous love and support from India and am extremely grateful to Bhushan Kumar, Indra Kumar and the entire team of Thank God for presenting the Hindi version of my track in the film. I am looking forward to visiting India soon," she said.

The team of the film is also looking forward to her track and shooting it. The director Indra Kumar issued a statement saying that he is extremely excited for the song and will begin shooting for it soon. "Yohani's song has become a super sensation and I am extremely thankful to Bhushanji for giving me this blockbuster track to be part of Thank God! We are all very excited for this version and will begin shooting soon for the track," he said adding that Thank God is a unique slice-of-life comedy, and the entire team is looking forward to presenting it to audiences next year.

Producer Bhushan Kumar added, "We are extremely thrilled to be collaborating with such a talented musician like Yohani and presenting her hit track Manike Mage Hithe in the first Desi version for Indian fans. We have always been at the forefront of musical trends and this is going to be an exciting track for all Indian fans."

The film Thank God is produced by T-Series Films and Maruti International production. Directed by Indra Kumar, it is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Sunir Kheterpal, Deepak Mukut, Anand Pandit and Markand Adhikari and co-produced by Yash Shah.
