The film, which also stars Ramesh Thilak is all set to hit screens on April 28
With just a few days to go for the release of Yaanai Mugathaan, the makers have now dropped a brand new poster from the film. The film, which marks the Tamil debut of Malayalam director Rejishh Midhila, stars Yogi Babu and Ramesh Thilak in the lead. Rejishh had earlier helmed films like Lal Bahadur Shastri, Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam and Innu Muthal.
Going by the trailer of Yaanai Mugathaan, it looks like Yogi Babu plays a dual role in the film, one of which is that of Lord Ganesha himself. Ramesh Thilak plays an auto driver, who is an ardent devotee of Lord Vinayagar. His character is someone who always gets into trouble. When he meets Yogi Babu, his life takes a different turn. The star cast includes Urvashi, Karunakaran, Hareesh Peradi, Crane Manohar, Uday Chandra and Naaga Vishaal.
Music for the film is by Bharath Shankar, cinematography by Karthik S Nair and editing by Syalo Sathyan. The satire is bankrolled by The Great Indian Cinemas.
In the meantime, Yogi Babu is gearing up for his Malayalam debut opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph. He will be playing a crucial role in Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, which will be helmed by Vipin Das of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey fame. Script for the film is by Deepu Pradeep of Kunjiramayanam fame and the project is jointly bankrolled by Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment.

Yogi Babu has a slew of projects in his kitty, which includes Thamezharasan, Jailer, Sathuranga Vettai, Andhagan, Haraa, Maaveeran, Saloon, Ayalaan, Soorapuli. He will soon be seen in Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Atlee's Jawan. This will be second film in Hindi, after his last outing with Chennai Express (2013), in which worked with SRK and Deepika. Yogi Babu was recently seen in Ghostly, Varisu and in Bommai Nayagi, in which he played the lead.
