Sidharth Malhotra just paid homage to his childhood icon Shah Rukh Khan in the best way possible
Sidharth Malhotra paid homage to his childhood icon Shah Rukh Khan through his upcoming film, Yodha. The trailer of the same was out recently and if one notices closely, Sidharth recreated a very iconic scene which originally featured SRK. The scene has won audiences over the many years since its release. Of course, we’re talking about Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ).
The homage
Sidharth recreated the DDLJ dialogue Bade Bade Desh Mein. Not just that, he spread his arms to do the signature SRK pose and nailed it. This was the proposal scene with Raashi Khanna in the film.

About the trailer
Sidharth plays the reckless soldier in Yodha trailer. He is ready to sacrifice himself when found in the middle of a hijack. He hopes to save his country and with the help of Disha Patani, he believes he could save everyone, even if it means sacrificing himself for the cause. “Ab iss shareer pe ya toh Yodha ka uniform hoga, ya phir tiranga,” is a dialogue from the trailer that gives you an idea of what is to come when a man with Shershaah spirit comes into action.
Sidharth made his movie debut with SRK
Sidharth had began his movie career by being an assistant director. He was the AD on Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starring My Name Is Khan. The movie, co-incidentally, was directed by Karan Johar and it was the same film where Sidharth’s Student of the Year (their debut movie) co-star Varun Dhawan was also an AD.
SRK-Sidharth’s latest appearance
More recently, Shah Rukh Khan and Sidharth came together at Women’s Premier League 2024 opening ceremony. They gave separate performances ahead of the Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals match in M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. SRK’s was the last performance. Before him, Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan and of course, Sidharth, gave their individual performances. Sidharth was representing Delhi at the match.
