Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein has premiered on Netflix and is fast becoming a popular series on the platform. One of the things the fans find impressive about the show, is the dynamics between Tahir Raj Bhasin’s Vikrant and Anchal Singh’s Purva.

Both the actors have now opened up about the power dynamics between their characters in the series.

“More often than not we see the woman being the object of desire, the trophy that everyone is trying to possess, but in Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, it was the opposite.”, said Anchal Singh in a press release.

She added that the character required a certain amount of poise which she tries to bring by letting her silence speak more and becoming composed yet bringing a strong presence she possesses.

Talking about his role in the series, Bhasin said that he has been playing strong characters in the past like Walt in Mardaani or Derek in Chichhore so it was interesting to play a character who was often submissive due to circumstances.

The Netflix series is a romantic thriller which has action, thrills, drama and romance. The story sees a love triangle, where Tahir’s character draws the attention and affection of two ladies.

The gender dynamics between a naive Vikrant and a powerful femme fatale Purva is a highlight of the show, and the two actors have been successful in providing a good performance to bring this to life.

Created by Sidharth Sengupta, Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein stars Bhasin, Singh, and Shweta Tripathi in the lead roles. Backed by Edgestorm Pictures, the show follows a small-time man who is forcefully married to a politician’s daughter, until he decides to make some changes.
