Yash about Bollywood rumours: “I haven't gone anywhere; I’ve got them all to come where I am”

Rocking Star Yash is in no hurry to announce his next as an actor, because he has not been sitting idle at home over the last year and more. During the promotions of KGF-Chapter 2, Yash had said that script work on a new project was going on, which everyone assumed, at the time, to be the Narthan directorial. Yash was in Mysuru this week and took his family on a temple visit, where the waiting media pounced on him with questions about his next, #Yash19. Of course, he was not going to make an announcement there, but what the superstar did is that he confirmed that pre-production work has been going on without a break and that the focus was on presenting something that everyone would be proud of. An official announcement would happen soon is all he said.

But what has excited his fans the most was his parting statement as he left the temple. In the last few weeks, one of the biggest rumours in the film industry was that Yash had been approached to play Ravan in yet another Ramayan adaptation with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead. Fans were sure that there was no way that Yash would go to another industry and play second-fiddle to another hero given the kind of market he enjoys. So, his parting shot, when asked about whether he was Bollywood bound, that translates to “I haven't gone anywhere; I’ve got them all to come where I am, so don’t worry,” has them beyond thrilled. Netizens loved Yash’s confidence and said that the last line was, “Benki”, “Mass”.

Currently, a July end announcement is rumoured to be on the cards, with multiple reports stating that Moothon director Geethu Mohandas will be at the helm of #Yash19.
