Yami Gautam has done three TV shows that went off-air is a short span in the initial phase of her career.
Yami Gautam has carved a niche for herself and delivered some very interesting movies in the past couple of years. The actor, who found her footing in "URI: The Surgical Strike," went on to give appreciated performances in "Bala" and more. However, Yami revealed that she once got kicked out of a TV show because she asked a question.
Speaking openly in an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Yami, who is celebrating her birthday today, shared that she initially aspired to become an IAS officer, but destiny had different plans. Yami received her first TV show offer while still studying. Despite working in three TV serials that ended quickly, she recalled an incident where she was removed from a show for questioning a scene.
"It is true. I had some questions about a scene on the first day of the shoot. I questioned something in a scene on my first day of shoot, and everyone stared at me, wondering 'How can I question?' When I returned to the set the next day and was reading my script, one person came to me and said, 'You may go home,'” Yami Gautam revealed.

Yami expressed how disheartening it was to hear, but she couldn't do anything about it. In 2018, she felt that things weren't working out for her in acting, considering an alternate career, even contemplating switching to farming. However, her fate took a turn when she landed on the sets of "URI: The Surgical Strike," changing the trajectory of her career. "It felt very bad to hear that, but I could not do anything. But, these things are also important; they help me find the passion to keep going."
Yami Gautam's upcoming projects include "Dhoom Dham," set for release. She recently wrapped up an untitled movie, and details about it are kept under wraps. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more.
