Yami Gautam also said that Aditya Dhar has a mind like that and will never act in a clichéd manner.
With Vicky Donor completing 10 years since its release in 2022, Yami Gautam Dhar has also completed a decade in Bollywood. The actor was paired opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in the film, who also made his Bollywood debut in the Shoojit Sircar directorial. During a recent interaction with News18, Yami spoke about her 10-year journey in Bollywood, and also about breaking her monotony of typecast roles.
The actor said that she has both positive and negative experiences, but they are all very significant since they are hers. Yami merits them, and she made those choices in light of what she knew at the time. Thus, she always respects that. However, the actor truly feels as though this year and the variety of films she currently has have given her a fresh start once more. She is more mature as an actor and more certain of what she wants to achieve.
On being quizzed about taking any advice from Aditya Dhar, the filmmaker to whom she is married, Yami shared that it's more of a dialogue than just advice. She frequently talks with those who are close to her; she still does so with her parents and Aditya. The actor greatly appreciates his viewpoint as his mind is filled with wonderful concepts and some incredibly original viewpoints. Even though she made her acting debut in a movie like Vicky Donor Aditya gave her a role in a movie when no one thought she could pull it off.
The Uri helmer cast her in a different character even though she was only being offered specific roles. Bala took place in that same year. Thus, according to Yami, Aditya has a mind like that and will never act in a clichéd manner. He always prefers to undo what he has already accomplished, start over, and adopt a whole new perspective. Therefore, it involves sharing ideas and then basing one's own decisions on them.
