X-Men Reboot back on track at Marvel with Mr Sinister as the villain – Here’s everything we know so far
It’s the day of Marvel updates and we are now getting some news on the long-awaited X-Men Reboot

Marvel's X-Men Reboot
The year was 2019, and Disney had just acquired Fox, which meant Deadpool, the mutants and other Marvel characters owned by the latter could now enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the same year, Kevin Feige said that they would make an X-Men reboot but nothing really happened. Since then, the studio has completed a storyline, started another, suffered duds, and hatched a new plan too. But there's nothing about the reboot yet. It turns out they are now looking into it and are on a hunt for new writers.
As we already know, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now about quality over quantity in the new year. It seems like they are exploring every possible avenue that can help them bounce back to the glory they once enjoyed. If new reports are to be believed, the studio is back working on X-Men Reboot secretly and is already on the hunt for writers to shape the project. It is still in a very nascent stage, but the studio indeed wants to put work on a fast track.
The New Update:
A Comic Book Movie report has revealed that Marvel executives are now setting up meetings with writers to listen to pitches for their X-Men reboot. While there is no script in place, a scooper has revealed that the studio wants to focus on the female characters more than the male ones, unlike the Fox films. The update is that they will also move away from Magneto as the main villain.
The scooper revealed that the main villain of the X-Men Reboot will be Mr Sinister, as per the buzz in the studio. They want to make a film completely different from 20th Century Fox. However, no announcements are expected in the near future and we can only expect some in late 2024.
Loki Writer takes Dibs:
Recently, as per the same portal, Eric Martin, known for his work on Loki, revealed he would love to take a shot at X-Men Reboot. “I think everybody's probably chasing after X-Men because I think that's where the richest characters are. But I mean, who knows? That's a decision for someone who's not me. As long as Marvel is happy, of course, I'd love to [work on more MCU projects]. I mean, Marvel has changed my life by trusting me to write this season. It was a lot of responsibility, and I hope I've earned that trust," he said.
"I think, for me, it all comes down to the characters. Do we have deep, interesting characters to work on? That's what gets me out of bed in the morning. Can I tell a deeply emotional, character-driven story with these people and on this huge canvas?" Eric concluded.
