Writer Padmabhushan, the family entertainer, starring Suhas, Tina Shilparaj, Rohini and Ashish Vidyarthi, was a surprise success at the theatres, bolstered by good content and aggressive marketing. The film, directed by debutant Shanmukha Prashanth, was produced by Anurag Reddy, Sharath Chandra and Chandru Manoharan under Chai Bisket Films and Lahari Films. The banners are joining hands to introduce another new talent to the industry.
Popular YouTuber Sumanth Prabhas is all set to make his acting, directorial debut with the next project of Writer Padmabhushan makers titled Mem Famous. The former plays the lead role in the film besides writing the story, screenplay and dialogues. Mani Aegurla, Mourya Chowdary, Saarya and Siri Raasi essay other pivotal parts in the entertainer whose teaser was launched today.

The teaser launch was held at AMB Cinemas, Hyderabad in the presence of politician Malla Reddy. This film revolves around three irresponsible young men in a village who find a way to get into trouble in every given situation. ‘Famous’ is their catchword and they’re desperate for some attention and limelight. The teaser is filled with several entertaining episodes surrounding a torn jeans episode, 13th-day ceremony and one of their images at a function.
Sumanth Prabhas is quite a natural with his raw screen presence and free-flowing dialogue delivery while Mani Aegurla, and Mourya Chowdary make a mark in the teaser too. Mem Famous, like several small-budget films in the recent past, makes good use of the Telangana flavour for comedy. The makers couldn’t have asked for a better start to their promotional campaign than this entertaining teaser.

Shyam Dupati cranks the camera for the film, while Kalyan Nayak is the composer. Srujana Adusumilli is the editor and Arvind Muli is the art director respectively. The film is all set to hit screens on June 2. Narendra Ravi, Muralidhar Goud, Kiran Macha, Anjimama, Shiva Nandan play supporting roles in the film.
