Actor Jay Soni, who is a part of the famous ‘show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, shares his thoughts on ‘World Theatre Day’. The actor spoke exclusively to OTTplay, wherein he shared his thoughts about being a part of the theatre plays have been the most memorable moment of his life.
Jay said, "Theatre has a rich history and cultural significance in many parts of the world, and it continues to be an important form of artistic expression that brings people together. Whether through acting, directing, writing, or simply being a part of the audience, theatre can inspire and enrich our lives. I believe theatre in particular, offers a unique opportunity for us actors to connect with an audience and express ourselves in a live and collaborative setting. Being a part of play taught me discipline, creativity, and a willingness to take risks, which has helped my skills and build confidence in my abilities."
He added, “I really get excited by the thrill and goosebumps that I get before I do a show. As much as I love performing on stage I love watching the show too. The plays that I have watched in ‘Prithvi Theatre’ are the most memorable moments of my life. I am extremely elated when people appreciate and cheer for me when I am on stage. Theatre is also a constantly evolving art form and I believe that, we, as actors, are constantly challenged to adapt and grow our craft. This can keep us as artist on our toes and lead to new discoveries and breakthroughs in our abilities.”
