Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who is coasting with a flurry of successes in films across multiple languages, will herself admit that this (today) is probably one of her best birthdays ever since she entered the industry. After establishing herself as an actress in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil industries, she is foraying in Hindi cinema with three plum projects - Mission Majnu opposite Siddhart Malhotra, Goodbye with Amitabh Bachchan and the latest addition being Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, where she's paired alongside Ranbir Kapoor.

It was only a few days ago that Rashmika Mandanna was officially announced as the female lead of Animal, that also features Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in key roles. The birthday girl today spoke of her excitement about joining the fantastic team behind the film. In conversation with a leading publication, Rashmika said that she was thrilled about the announcement. Rashmika shared she was waiting to tell the world about being part of Animal for a while now.

The Pushpa actress further added that Animal not only has a fantastic story but also a terrific team to bring it to life. "It's like a dream come true," she couldn't hide her excitement. Rashmika is keenly looking forward to the summer to shoot for the film and mentioned she couldn't wait for it to go on floors. Apparently, Rashmika was on the sets of Goodbye when heard the news about her presence in Animal.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar and Murad Khetani, Animal is written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Siddharth and Garima pen the dialogues the for the film which will have a background score by Harshwardhan Rameshwar. Animal will have a theatrical release in 2023.
