Women's Premier League Auction 2023: From purse to where to watch on OTT, everything you need to know about WPL
This a huge step forward when it comes to women's cricket as India is all set to host the Women's Premier League (WPL) this year from March 4 to the 26th.
The player auction for the same will take place on February 13 (Monday) in Mumbai. Here's all you need to know about the auction:

The five teams: Bengaluru, Delhi, Gujarat, Lucknow, Mumbai
Total Auction Purse per team: Each franchise will have Rs 12 crores to spend on players
Number of players teams can buy: A franchise needs to buy a minimum of 15 players and a maximum of 18
Number of overseas players per team: Five with at least 1 from an Associate Nation
Total Number of players who registered for the auction: 1525
Total Number of players to go under the hammer: 409
Total Number of India players: 246
Total Number of Overseas players: 163
