Jessel Taank reveals that The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives is her guilty pleasure and hints at an upcoming crossover with The Real Housewives of New York City.
Recently, reality TV star Jessel Taank visited Mumbai. She made history as the first Indian to appear on The Real Housewives of New York City (RHONY).
In an interview with HT City, Taank described her weeklong visit to India as so exciting—both economically and culturally—that it was imploding. Taank is incredibly flattered to be called the first Indian on RHONY and that fact alone enticed her to visit India. Still, something is missing.
She visited India earlier for wedding shopping, but it's been a while. She added that she was born and reared in London before migrating to the US. India is a country she has yet to visit. To experience Mumbai's fashion scene, Taank met some designers and offered to help them get to the US. She failed to attend the Diwali celebrations, but she did meet up with numerous pals. The following year, Taank promises to arrive a bit earlier.
She crossed paths with Bhumi Pednekar, Mouni Roy, and Arjun Rampal while on vacation. Although she didn't see him during this visit, she remembers that Salman Khan was the one who left her awestruck. Taank, who grew up watching Bollywood films, still experiences a sense of starstruckness. During a previous vacation, she had the pleasure of meeting the superstar at this hotel. Her mind was blown. She was so enthusiastic that she said, "Can I take a picture with you?" She felt like she was in another world.
Taank admits that The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives (TFLOBW) is her guilty pleasure, saying that it's the mirror show of RHONY. Then she was interested. The show was fascinating because it showed the lives of these Bollywood-related women. They all had successful careers before appearing on RHONY but none had Hollywood experience.
Taank concluded by stating that at some point, they will combine the TFLOBW and RHONY formats. A project is underway, but she won't say more.
JioCinema (OTTplay Premium) currently streams The Real Housewives of New York City while Netflix hosts The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.
