Will Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati Side B have a simultaneous release with the Kannada original on October 20?

The first part of Rakshit Shetty’s film Sapta Sagaradaache Ello has been dubbed in Telugu and will release in the Andhra/Telangana region on September 22

777 Charlie was a film that besides its domestic market was warmly welcomed by audiences in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which is why, when the idea of taking his next across the border came up, Rakshit Shetty was sure that it had to begin with a Telugu version. His film Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, which is a two-part venture, had its first instalment, called Side A, in theatres on September 1 and did well among cinema lovers in Karnataka. At the time, Rakshit had also given the Kannada version a limited release in other markets, where it was also lapped up and buoyed by the response to the film, he’s now set to start taking dubbed versions to audiences for an even wider reach.

On September 22, the Telugu version, called Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati Side A, will release in theatres in the Andhra/Telangana belt, presented by People Media Factory. Asked why he didn’t release the film in all languages at the same time, Rakshit reiterated that he and his team believed that Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is a film that would travel organically and that they would take it everywhere depending on the market dynamics. With the Telugu version coming out with less than a month to go for the second instalment, Side B, will the makers at least attempt a simultaneous outing for it? Unfortunately, no. Speaking at a media briefing for the trailer launch of Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati Side A, Rakshit said that the Telugu version of Side B will be released a week after the Kannada original on October 27. So, if you’ve been waiting eagerly for the rest of the story to unfold, audiences will have to catch the Kannada version on October 20.

Directed by Hemanth M Rao, Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati Side A also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Pavithra Lokesh, Ramesh Indira, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Yamuna Srinidhi, Avinash, Sharath Lohithashwa and Achyuth Kumar among others. The film has music by Charan Raj and cinematography by Advaitha Gurumurthy.
