Robert Downey Jr last played Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame where he lost his life while defeating Thanos
The world at the moment is hooked on what is happening in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the studio is busy shaping the build-up to the next two Avengers movies, titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, there is already an intense buzz on what is beyond them. There have been reports that the studio is planning to bring back the fallen Avengers, marking the return of our favourite Robert Downey Jr, aka Iron Man. Turns out Kevin Feige has a blunt response to that rumor.
As per the latest reports surfacing on the Internet, Kevin Feige is now breaking the silence on the rumor that claimed the fallen Avengers will be back in the MCU after the Multiverse Saga wraps up. The Marvel President reacted precisely to Robert Downey Jr’s return as Iron Man.
If you are unversed, fans have been waiting to know as to when the studio plans to bring RDJ back to play Tony Stark in the MCU. His death in Avengers: Endgame took the world by storm. Now, when Kevin Feige was asked about the aforementioned rumours, he was quick to shun it without even thinking twice. "Hmm….fallen Avengers returning. I literally have not even seen that, is that a new rumor?” He said as per Direct.
When he was questioned about how Robert Downey Jr and Scarlett Johansson were rumored to be returning, and it was discussed at the retreat, Kevin Feige was quick to say, "We did not discuss that at the retreat. It’s the truth. We’re doing a project with Scarlett, we love Robert, he’s a part of the family. But in terms of returning? We’ll have to see."
Turns out we are back to zero, and our hopes to see Robert Downey Jr reprise Iron Man are blurry yet again. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more.
