Prabhas-starrer Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu, in pivotal roles.
Yash of KGF fame is likely to play a cameo role in Prabhas' upcoming film, Salaar, which is directed by Prashanth Neel. The rumour that both films exist in the same universe has taken on more credence based on this latest speculation.
Salaar will have a cameo by Yash's character Rocky from the KGF films, who will share screen space with Prabhas. Hombale Films, which produced KGF's first two films, funds Salaar. The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu.
The next project for Yash is not yet decided. Prabhas is currently working on movies like Agnipurush and Project K.
The film has cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda and music composed by Ravi Basrur. The action choreography of the film is handled by Anbu-Ariv.
As of now, Salaar is scheduled for release on April 14, 2022.
During the promotions of Saaho, Prabhas made it quite clear that promotions were not his cup of tea.
"I am not used to promotions in my Telugu films. After 17 years, I still get this feeling ‘Oh god my film is releasing.’ Here (Bollywood) it is on another level. When we came for Baahubali, I was having a heart attack and Rajamouli was calming me, “Cool cool cool, It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s okay. For the second part (of Baahubali) I thought I won’t come. But the distributor and Rajamouli would have killed me. I’ll never get used to it. But I hope I get used to it because I’ll be happier," he told Film Companion.
Prabhas was also candid about his reluctance to talk about his films, and related work. “I am lazy, shy and cannot meet people – three problems I have. Even, I think about why I am in this field? But luckily Baahubali happened so I don’t have a choice… I don’t want that shyness, it’s uncomfortable even for me. It takes time for me to meet new people. I want to be comfortable.”
