Kangana Ranaut stated that she does not need a political seat to serve her country. But the actress also said that if she wants to join politics, this probably is the right time.
Actress Kangana Ranaut is a powerhouse of talent, who has never shied away from speaking her mind, be it on nepotism or any political debates. Due to her political leanings, the actress is often asked if she would like to join politics.

Speaking on these speculations, Kangana has now revealed during a chat with TV9 Bharatvarsh that she does not need a political seat to do the things she wants to do for her country but if she wants to join politics, this probably is the right time.
Kangana on her political career
During the event, Kangana was asked if she would contest the Lok Sabha elections this year, to which the actress laughingly said that it is not the place to reveal whether she will be contesting or not. She further said, “It has never kept me away from being a really aware person. I have done more than anyone could from this so-called seat for the country.”
“I have literally fought from film sets with political parties. That doesn’t keep me away, it doesn’t take me a seat to do what I want to do for my country. But, if I want to get into politics, I probably think this is the right time.”
Speaking about the love she has received from this country and its people, Kangana said that she has done roles in South, have portrayed girls from Haryana, Delhi and Jhansi ki Rani from central India. “This country and its people have given me wings, love from all corners,” she said.
“I have always been more of a nationalist and that image has taken over even my very glorious acting career. I do have the awareness that I am deeply loved and appreciated,” she further stated.
Kangana will be seen next in Emergency in which she will be playing the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Apart from featuring in the film, she will also be directing the movie. The film will hit the theatres on June 14.
