Sonakshi Sinha is currently making news for two reasons – her impending wedding with Zaheer Iqbal and her upcoming film Kakuda. The actress, it looks like, will be married by the time the movie comes out on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium. The movie marks her horror-comedy debut opposite Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem.
About Kakuda
Set in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district Ratodi, Kakuda is about a curse inflicted upon the village. Every house in this village has two doors, one that is normal and the other that is small. You need to pick the correct one or face the consequences. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar (of Munjya fame), the movie is penned by Avinash Diwedi and Chirag Garg, and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Aditya’s Munjya is the latest offering in the horror-comedy genre (released on June 7) and the Abhay Verma-Sharvari starrer is performing well at the Box Office.
On Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding
Sonakshi Sinha is reportedly set to tie the knot with Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. Theirs being an inter-faith marriage, they could be opting for a court wedding under the special marriage act. Preparations for the same are on in full swing. More recently, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha were spotted with the couple and Zaheer’s family. Sonakshi took the selfie from their meeting and it has been going viral on social media.
It was previously rumoured that Sonakshi and Zaheer have shared an invitation to people by confirming that the rumours about them dating were true. It was reported to be in the form of voice notes, which also went viral on social media. It was the voice notes which caused the speculation of Sonakshi and Zaheer finally planning their wedding.
When and where to watch Kakuda?
Kakuda is a direct-to-digital release and it will be out on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium. The film will be available for streaming from July 12, 2024. It was in the making for three years and finally, Kakuda has a release date.
