Some have speculated that Dhruva Natchathiram might not hit the screens on November 24 as announced owing to financial troubles. But, producers seem to be confident of its release.
Filmmaker Gautham Menon's embattled movie Dhruva Natchathiram, starring Chiyaan Vikram in the lead, is due to release in cinemas this Friday. With just four days for its long-awaited theatrical debut, speculations are rife about the possible delay in release.
A few industry trackers on Monday tweeted about the release of Dhruva Natchathiram running into rough weather again closer to its release. Some speculated that the movie might not hit the screens on November 24 as announced owing to financial troubles.
However, the producers don't seem to share the worry of the industry observers. Gautham's Ondraga Entertainment, which has bankrolled the movie, tried to allay the concerns of fans with a social media post. "#DhruvaNatchathiram week is upon us Prepare for the explosive arrival in just 4 days," tweeted the production banner, along with a new poster, featuring a dapper-looking Vikram.

It won't be wrong to say that Gautham has been fighting a lone battle to give Dhruva Natchathiram a wide theatrical release. Despite his significant clout in the Indian film industry, bringing his most ambitious film to the big screen has become a herculean task.
Even though Dhruva Natchathiram was completed a long time ago, the movie's release was delayed due to several legal complications. In recent interviews, Gautham revealed how taking funds from multiple investors to shoot the movie, pushed Dhruva Natchathiram into a web of complications, leading to several legal entanglements.
Gautham revealed that he started taking up acting offers to raise enough funds to complete the movie's production and pay off the investors who had been suing him.
Gautham claimed that his efforts to release Dhruva Natchathiram gained momentum after he announced the release date. The producers are now in the process of selling the theatrical, satellite and streaming rights of the movie. The funds from this pre-theatrical revenue will likely help the producers to give it a smooth release this Friday.
The producers have already finalised the distributors for the movie in various territories, both domestic and overseas. And the film's team is doing a good job of keeping the fans updated about the movie's theatrical partners, creating a positive environment and much-needed anticipation for the movie's release.
Besides Vikram, the film also stars Ritu Varma, R. Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran and Vinayakan.
