We had told you SS Rajamouli's much-appreciated blockbuster RRR, featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles, would stream on Zee5 in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada, starting May 20. Grapevine has it that the Baahubali filmmaker thought of making RRR with Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan or Suriya and Karthi in the lead roles. However, Ram Charan and Jr NTR later came into the picture.

Kamal Haasan, who is awaiting the release of Vikram on June 3, will team up with Pa Ranjith next. This was confirmed recently at the Vikram audio launch by the actor-politician himself, who went on to add he will also collaborate with Lokesh Kanagaraj, for the second time.

Additionally, there is a buzz that Ulaganayagan is likely to work with SS Rajamouli. Multiple reports claim that Rajamouli was planning to approach Kamal Haasan to star in his next, which has Mahesh Babu in the lead. We need to wait and watch if this will materialise.

Rajamouli's film with Mahesh Babu is yet to be officially announced.

"Because of the pandemic, I had many things to wrap up for RRR. With multiple postponements and uncertainty, I had to concentrate on RRR alone. Meanwhile, I was trying to work on the storyline, which gives me hope that there are a couple of lines which interest me," Rajamouli told Cinema Express.

As per Rajamouli, it usually takes about six to seven months for him to get the story completely penned, from the time he fixates on making the next move. Mahesh Babu, on the other hand, will wrap up his commitments in the meantime, before he will set out to act under the Baahubali director. His Sarkaru Vaari Paata hit the screens on May 12.

In a recent interview, Rajamouli's father and screenwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad confirmed that the untitled film will go on floors in the first half of 2023. The untitled one, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, will be set against the backdrop of a jungle, according to India Today.

SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu's film will be produced by KL Narayana under his banner, Durga Arts. Talking about the film, the Sarileru Neekevvaru actor revealed that it will be like Indiana Jones. In a media interaction, he said, "I am excited to join hands with Rajamouli garu and I am looking forward to the shooting. It is too soon to reveal any details about the project. But, I can assure you that it is going to be a massive one!”
