Veteran actor Krishna's gravitas extends beyond the confines of Telugu cinema. Having dabbled with roles and characters of myriad kinds in his nearly five-decade-long acting career, Krishna had the opportunity to collaborate with several talented artists along the way: from icons like N.T. Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageshwara Rao to future superstars like Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth, Mohan Babu, and others, Krishna proved that he was always relevant and ready.

Thereby, the news of his sad demise on Tuesday, November 15 was met with a unanimous outpour of love and adoration as the biggest of stars took to social media to express their grief. Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who has also acted in several Telugu films, was one among the many to shine a light on Krishna's legacy and share his experience of working with the late actor.
Rajinikanth, who began his acting career began in 1975, has acted alongside Krishna in three popular films, namely Anna Dammula Savaal, Iddaru Asadhyule, and Ram Robert Rahim - the third one was directed by Krishna's wife Vijaya Nirmala. Many reckoned at the time that Krishna's flamboyance on screen and Rajinikanth's raw charm complemented each other perfectly, resulting in a slightly short-lived but memorable cinematic repartee.
Superstar Krishna was rushed to a private hospital in Hyderabad on Sunday after he suffered a cardiac arrest. Despite the efforts of a multi-disciplinary team, Krishna succumbed to his illness and passed away around 4 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15. He was 79.
