Yami Gautam wasn't particularly impressed with her movie Total Siyapaa
Yami Gautam has come out in support of Kangana Ranaut recently. This will remind you of the time when she motivated her mother to watch Kangana’s Queen instead of her own film. Yami’s Total Siyapaa was running in theatres along with the Vikas Bahl directorial.
Total Siyapaa is Yami’s second film since her debut with Ayushmann Khurrana’s Vicky Donor. The Shoojit Sircar directorial was a welcomed change in Bollywood. Meanwhile, Total Siyapaa did not receive as rave reviews as Queen.
Yami, in fact, heard about Queen’s review and thus, she asked her mother Anjali Gautam to watch Kangana’s film rather than her movie with Ali Zafar. Yami wasn’t even happy with the end result of her film.
While it was Queen’s reign back then, the two movies were competing with another Hollywood film, 300: Rise of an Empire. Total Siyapaa had the most screens among them but Queen made much more noise at the Box Office.
Yami had spilled the beans to DNA in an interview. “Although I had good time working on the film and have great respect for it, I didn’t like when I watched it. It happens,” she had said.
Kangana and Yami came back in news after their Instagram banter. The Dhaakad actress shared a video of Yami mimicking her as an Instagram story. Tagging Yami, Kangana asked the actress to enact the whole thing again, in front of her. To that, Yami responded saying that she would probably fumble while doing that.
Yami Gautam was last seen in the Zee5 film LOST. The movie started streaming on the platform from February 16.
