When The Phone Rings has reached an interesting part after episode 8. Yoo Yeon-seok’s Sa-eon and Chae Soo-bin’s Hee-jo slowly explore their love for each other and express their inner feelings. Fans are head over heels for the on-screen couple and want their relationship to grow. Episode 8 ends on a heartbreaking note as Sa-eon faces a fire accident while visiting the fishing place.
When The Phone Rings Episode 8 and 9
Episode 8 of When The Phone Rings shows Chae Soo Bin’s Hong Hee-jo and Yoo Yeon Seok’s Baek Sa-eon having a delightful conversation while the latter makes a meal for his wife. They express their feelings for each other. After that, they went to sleep and Hee-jo woke up to a nightmare as she saw Sa-eon was not at his home and his phone number did not exist. After waking up, she realized it was a bad dream.
The episode also explored a tense moment between Hee-jo and her in-laws. Hee-jo received a message from Ji Sang-woo (Heo Nam-joon), and the two met while Sa-eon reached a place hoping to meet the real kidnapper. In the meantime, Sang-woo and Hee-jo conversed about the case of the missing orphans and reached the same place. Sa-eon saw them and felt something was wrong and saved Hee-jo from Sang-woo.
Towards the end, Sa-eon reached to the fishing place where he was during his childhood and met with a fire accident. The series is yet to explore a lot about his life. In the meanwhile, Sa-eon's real identity almost got revealed to Hee-jo.
Episode 9 will show how Hee-jo goes all out to protect Sa-eon and rushes to the hospital upon learning of his accident. She cries and sits behind him and promises to save him. The tension-filled preview leaves viewers eager for more.

On December 26, 2024, Netflix released a 1-minute 38-second clip from episode 9 of When the Phone Rings. It begins with Sa-eon waking in a hospital. He checks his phone which is filled with a series of texts from Hee-jo.
Several questions popped out such as who is real Baek Sa-eon and who was adopted? Social media suggests that Sang-woo is the real kidnapper. Only time will tell the real identities of them.
Meanwhile, Episode 9 of When The Phone Rings will be released in a few hours today, December 27 on Netflix.
