Episode 7 of When The Phone Rings was an emotional rollercoaster for K-drama lovers as Yoo Yeon-seok’s Sa-eon and Chae Soo-bin’s Hee-jo's chemistry deepened following the recovery journey of the latter. Sa-eon won hearts as a perfect husband and the kissing scene towards the end melted everyone. As episode 7 ends, episode 8 has a lot stored in it.
When The Phone Rings Episodes 7 and 8
In Episode 7 Hee-jo is seen recovering in the hospital following her fall. While in bed, she gets a message from Sa-eon, which leads to a heartfelt conversation between them.
The episode also shows Hee-jo sending another message to Sa-eon in a moment of worry, when he is visibly worried for her while stuck in traffic. Episode 7 makes Kdrama fans root for the couple in particular as they finally confess their love for each other. Notably, Hee-jo even gave up the act of being mute in front of her husband. It also shows that Sa-eon already knew that Hee-jo was the one behind the phone.
Now, episode 8 will focus on Sa-eon trying to catch the real culprit who pushed Hee-jo from the cliff. Social media is convinced that it might be Park Do-jae (Choi Woo-jin).
As Sa-eon gets to know that it has been Hee-jo all the time behind the phone call, he does not act surprised as he already knows. While Hee-jo looks concerned about how Sa-eon will behave after finding the truth, their chemistry deepens more. However, the next episode will show Sa-eon pondering over how Hee-jo will take him after finding his real truth. Theories suggest that he's not the real son of the family and their real son could be the actual kidnapper who Hee-joo stole the phone from.
Fans reaction to Sa-eon and Hee-jo kiss scene
Fans started admiring the kiss scene between Sa-eon and Hee-jo in episode 7. One X user wrote, "They both were desperate for it specifically him .... There was a mini pause and he pulled her back then a big pause and both went in for it."
Another shared a dialogue from the scene which became viral overnight.
Meanwhile, Episode 8 of When The Phone Rings will be released in a few hours today, December 21 on Netflix.
