When Salman Khan asked for Juhi Chawla’s hand for marriage from her father

That Salman Khan is one of the most eligible bachelors in Bollywood is something that we all know. But, did you know that, many years ago, Salman Khan had asked for Juhi Chawla’s hand for marriage to Juhi Chawla’s father. But, her father had (at that time) rejected Salman Khan. On his part, Salman Khan said that he was rejected as he ‘didn't fit the bill’. Post that, Juhi Chawla got married to businessman Jay Mehta in the year 1995.

In an interview with News18, when Juhi Chawla was asked about this video which went viral recently, this is what she had to say. Juhi Chawla, in her trademark styled laughter, said that ‘back in the day, when she had just started out in her career, and when Salman was not THE Salman Khan, a film had come her way that had him (Salman Khan) as the lead actor. The chirpy actress Juhi Chawla went onto add that, she didn’t know anyone properly back then – not him (Salman khan), not Aamir Khan, or anyone else in the industry. Juhi Chawla also said that, incidentally, she couldn’t do the film (with Salman Khan) because of some issue, which she did not disclose or reveal.

Juhi Chawla also added that and to this day, he (Salman Khan) doesn’t leave one chance to remind her of it! She said that Salman Khan keeps on saying ‘You didn’t do the film with me’. In the same breath, Juhi Chawla also added that, even though they hardly worked on films together, but, they did a lot of stage shows. Juhi Chawla also said that he (Salman Khan) had a cameo in ‘Deewana Mastana’, which starred Anil Kapoor, Govinda and Juhi Chawla in the lead roles.

On the professional front, Juhi Chawla was most recently seen in the much-talked about thriller series ‘Hush Hush’, which was streamed on Prime Video. Besides Juhi Chawla, the thriller series ‘Hush Hush’ also starred Ayesha Jhulka, Soha Ali Khan and Shahana Goswami.
