RGV on Prashanth Neel

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has never shied away from speaking his mind. His social media feed serves as the perfect testament to his candor and his latest tweet, which came on the occasion of Directors Day, proves just that. On the occasion of Directors Day on the 4th of May (the day is observed as Directors Day to mark the birth anniversary of noted Telugu filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao), RGV sent out a special wish to director Prashanth Neel, albeit in his own quintessential style.

Accusing Neel of fu**ing with every director's mind, the 'Dangerous' director wrote a rather sarcastic tweet wherein he showered praise on the 'KGF: Chapter 2' maker but also, funnily, pinned all the blame on him for forcing filmmakers across the country to "reinvent themselves". He would also credit Prashanth Neel for ushering in a new industry with the success of KGF: Chapter 2.

"I wish a very UNHAPPY Directors day to Prashanth Neel for so royally FU**ING every directors mind everywhere whether it’s in BOLLYWOOD, TOLLYWOOD,KOLLYWOOD and even in SANDALWOOD ..Sir Prashant Neel, U are the VEERAPPAN of Indian cinema," wrote Ram Gopal Varma

Ram Gopal Varma has been proactively celebrating the monumental success of KGF: Chapter 2 and has referred to the film as a gamechanger. During the recent skirmish between actors Ajay Devgn and Kiccha Sudeep, Varma reflected that the stars from the North are "jealous" of the ones from the south and added that the mega commerical success of KGF 2 is likely to be the reason.

On the work front, Ram Gopal Varma is geared up for the release of his raunchy thriller 'Dangerous', starring Naina Ganguly and Apsara Rani, and is slated to soon work alongside Upendra for the gangster flick 'R'.
