When and where to watch England v India 1st T20

The series opener comes after a scintillating 2-2 draw of the Test series.

The enthralling test series between the two cricketing heavy-weights concluded with the English completing a record run chase on the final day to level the series 2-2, thanks to tons from Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow in the second innings. The win comes as a morale booster for England after having recorded just one win in 17 matches. For new head coach Brendon McCullum and new skipper Ben Stokes it is a step in the right direction and an indication that the much-hyped ‘Bazball’ introduced by McCullum is reaping rewards.

For India, however, despite being hindered by missing a few key players such as Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, would’ve expected to wrap up the series in style after commanding displays on days One and Two at Edgbaston. Stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah and coach Rahul Dravid will hope that their disappointment can be erased with a strong start to the T20 series at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton. The return of several players will certainly boost the hopes of the Men in Blue in white-ball cricket.
