About Jawan
"Jawan" is a 2023 Indian action thriller film, marking Atlee's debut in Hindi cinema as both co-writer and director. Produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment, the film features Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, portraying a father-son duo determined to eradicate corruption from society. The ensemble cast includes Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone (in a special appearance), Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra in supporting roles.
Anirudh Ravichander is credited for the film's captivating soundtrack and background score, while G. K. Vishnu handles cinematography and Ruben takes charge of editing. Notably, certain scenes, including Khan's presence in the song "Zinda Banda" ("Vandha Edam" in Tamil), Sethupathi's segments, and those featuring Yogi Babu, were simultaneously re-shot for the Tamil version.

Initially scheduled for release on June 2, 2023, "Jawan" faced a postponement due to ongoing post-production work. It eventually hit theaters on September 7, 2023, across various formats, including standard, IMAX, and 4DX, aligning with the celebration of Janmashtami. The film garnered critical acclaim, with praise directed at the cast's performances, well-crafted screenplay, dynamic action sequences, and musical score.
"Jawan" went on to set multiple box-office records for a Hindi film, surpassing the benchmarks set by Khan's earlier release, "Pathaan" (2023).
