The upcoming limited series is based on the founders of the American property company WeWork, depicting the company’s rise and fall
The star power of Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto are here to bring the chaotic story of WeWork to audiences through the limited series, WeCrashed. The trailer of the same was unveiled recently, and gives viewers a taste of the events that led to the company’s meteoric fall.
The trailer introduces us to the power couple that made it all possible- Adam Neumann (Leto) and Rebekah Neumann (Hathaway). Adam, who co-founded the company with Miguel McKelvey, is shown all bright eyed as he takes the audience through an office space and envisions what he has in mind for his dream company. He gives some idealistic statements about how he wants his company’s work culture to be like, and then we see his wife Rebekah as she passionately, and ambitiously, claims how WeWork aims to ‘elevate the world’s consciousness’.
But as the trailer progresses, we see the couple’s romanticism become frayed at the edges as they are met with some challenges that require a whole lot more than love and ideals to conquer.
The upcoming series follows the story of the founders of the American property company, WeWork. The company had to go through several obstacles, in part due to the reckless managing of the company by Adam. The eight episode series is based on the podcast, WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork.
In addition to Hathaway and Leto, the upcoming series also features America Ferrera, O-T Fagbenle and Kyle Marvin. The latter will essay the role of WeWork co-founder, Miguel.
WeCrashed will premiere on Apple TV on March 18. The first three episodes will air on that date with the rest being released on a weekly basis every Friday.
