We had earlier reported that actors Vasanth Ravi and Sathyaraj will be starring in an upcoming film titled Weapon. The makers on Wednesday dropped a fresh update about the film’s release. It is set to hit big screens on June 7, the team announced on social media. The film is directed by filmmaker Guhan Senniappan.

In their first collaboration together, actors Sathyaraj and Vasanth Ravi will be starring an upcoming Tamil film titled Weapon. The film is now set to hit theatres on June 7, the makers announced. The trailer of Weapon was released recently, unveiling what to look forward to.

Weapon will revolve around a superhuman played by Sathyaraj, and the many who are planning to capture him. After many gangs of men fail to execute the mission, Vasanth Ravi comes in to finish him off. The film is directed by filmmaker Guhan Senniappan.

Apart from Vasanth Ravi and Sathyaraj, the upcoming film also stars Rajiv Menon, Tanya Hope, Rajeev Pillai, Yashika Aannand, Mime Gopi, Kaniha, Gajaraj, Syed Subhan, Baradwaj Rangan, Velu Prabhakaran, Maya Krishnan, Shiyas Kareem, Benito Franklin, Raghu Esakki and others.
The technical crew of Weapon consists of music scored by Ghibran and cinematography by Prabhu Raghav, with Gopi Krishna in charge of editing. Sudesh has handed the stunts and Subenthar PL is the art director. The film is produced by M S Manzoor under the banner Million Studio.
Meanwhile, Sathyaraj who was last seen in Singapore Saloon, is speculated to be part of Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. An official announcement in this regard is yet to be made. Sathyaraj is also expected to headline the upcoming biopic of Narendra Modi. Further details on the project are yet to be out. On the other hand, Vasanth Ravi was last seen in Pon Ondru Kanden and has Indra in the pipeline.
