The actor was interacting with the students of a college in Coimbatore,
Vikram and Allu Arjun
The promotional activities of Vikram-starrer Cobra began yesterday, with makers visiting Trichy and Madurai. The team was in Coimbatore today and Vikram, along with a few of his co-stars, interacted with students of GRD College in the city. One of the students requested him to imitate the popular dialogue from Allu Arjun's Pushpa, 'Pushpa na flower nu nenachiya? Fire-uu'.
An excited Vikram said he would like to utter the dialogue in 10 different ways, leaving the crowd overwhelmed. He then performed the presentation in five different styles, reminding his iconic dialogue delivery in the climax sequence of Anniyan and his fans went berserk.
His co-stars in Vikram, Srinidhi Shetty and Mirnalini Ravi, who were seen sitting next to him, too, couldn't control the excitement. Amid cheers and whistles, Vikram said that he could do a few more variations. The team will be returning to Chennai tomorrow to unveil the trailer, after which they will fly to Kochi, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Cobra is Vikram's first theatrical release in the pandemic era; his last release in movie halls was Rajesh M Selva's Kadaram Kondan (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) which hit the screen in 2019.
Cobra, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, is Vikram's second release this year. The film will hit the screens on August 31. His Mahaan, helmed by Karthik Subbaraj, skipped theatrical release and dropped directly on Amazon Prime Video. The actor has Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, too, coming up next month. The ambitious movie is slated for a release on September 30.
Irfan Pathan makes his acting debut with Vikram, while Srinidhi Shetty is making her Tamil debut with the action-packed revenge thriller. AR Rahman has composed music for the project and his background score is said to be one of its highlights.
