Kamal Haasan, who is in the US for the prep work of his upcoming film Indian 2, recently met up with his childhood friend and Hollywood actress McKenzie Westmore. The actress, who shared a picture of the meeting, in which she is also seen with her father, ace makeup-artist Michael Westmore, wrote on her social media page, "Highlight of my week seeing @ikamalhaasan #Kamalhasan & my papa! Excited to wear @kh_khaddar in my show! Be sure to check this amazing line out as well as #vikram! (sic)."
Kamal Haasan's relationship with the ace makeup artist Michael Westmore goes back to decades when they collaborated for Indian (1996). The producers had roped in Westmore and Michael Jones to work on the looks of Kamal Haasan and Sukanya in the film. Kamal Haasan has stayed in touch with the artist since then. Westmore had provided advice to the actor for his make-up in Avvai Shanmugi and the duo had later collaborated with him for Dasavatharam (2008).
The Academy Award-winning make-up artist is known for his work in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise and The Mask.
McKenzie Westmore, daughter of Michael Westmore, who plays Sheridan Crane Lopez-Fitzgerald on the television series Passions, is a friend of Kamal Haasan and had not long ago shared that he considered Kamal Haasan, a part of the family. Talking about the Ulaganayagan's relationship with the family, McKenzie had shared a post on her social media page, "“Many have asked if I know @ikamalhaasan well here ya go :) my dad used to create his makeups when I was a little girl. We keep in touch but the last I saw Kamal was a few years back. The 2nd photo is me and my dad in beautiful clothing given to us as a gift from Kamal (sic)."
