This week was the week for which everyone was waiting with bated breath! This week saw the mega clash of two films at the box-office. While on one hand, it was the Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam starrer ‘OMG 2’, on the other hand, it was the Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer ‘Gadar 2’, which was a sequel to the earlier hit ‘Gadar’, which starred the same leading pair.

It was not at all rocket science to decipher that, the release of these two much-awaited films will lead to a frenzy and craziness of sorts amongst their respective fans. Only yesterday, we had reported about how the die-hard fans of Akshay Kumar had poured milk over the film’s poster in a Bandra theatre and also how a young fan came to see the film disguised in the form of Lord Shiva. The madness and the craziness of Sunny Deol starrer ‘Gadar 2’ is also on the same level. At a theatre in Rajasthan, the die-hard fans of Sunny Deol and his impressive mannerisms travelled in tractors in see ‘Gadar 2’ in theatres.

As far as the box-office collections of both these films are concerned, both, ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘OMG 2’ have taken off to an extremely decent start on day one of their respective releases. With the long weekend coming up, trade pundits are expecting a huge jump in the box-office collections of both the films. And since ‘Gadar 2’ deals with utmost patriotism, many feel that, the upcoming Independence Day will surely tilt the tide towards the Sunny Deol starrer.

As for the starcast, while ‘Gadar 2’ stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the leading roles, ‘OMG 2’ stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the leading roles.
