Supriya Pathak, who is married to Shahid Kapoor's father, Pankaj Kapur, shares a warm relationship with her stepson

Actor Pankaj Kapur was married to Neliima Azeem before he married Supriya Pathak. With Neliima, he has one son, actor Shahid Kapoor.

Supriya's warm relationship with her stepson, Shahid, is widely known. The two share a close bond, and Supriya has said that she has even come to rely on Shahid.

Supriya was a guest on Twinkle Khanna's YouTube talk show, The Icons, along with her sister, Ratna Pathak Shah. On the show, she got nostalgic and recalled the first time she met Shahid.

Speaking to Twinkle, Supriya said that Shahid was only 6 years old when she first met him and that he was the cutest, most lovely child that she had ever met.

She added that they instantly liked each other. "He was very warm, and he did not have any defiant reactions towards me, and neither did I. So, when we met, we instantly liked each other. And I think that is what carried on."

Revealing the kind of bond that she shares with Shahid, Supriya said that they are more like friends and that he is someone that she can always depend on. "Because we have not really lived together, Shahid is like a person I can always depend upon. Sash has always been that person for me," she added.
