Watch: Netflix drops Voir teaser, a collection of visual essays for the love of cinema

The trailer for Voir on Netflix is finally out. The documentary series is a visual essay celebrating cinema and the personal connection we all have to the stories we watch on the big screen, from executive producers David Fincher and David Prior. Each episode reminds us why cinema holds such a special place in our lives, from deep personal experiences to insights into character and artistry.

The docuseries has film fans examine the cinematic moments that enthralled, bewildered, questioned, and permanently altered them.

The one-minute 37 minutes long trailer has glimpses of iconic moments from the world of cinema shown on the big screen. It has a human eye placed right in the centre and shows how everyone captures the moments and discovers something new every time they watch a movie multiple times.

One of the essays is by Sasha Stone who narrated her childhood experiences of Steven Spielberg’s directorial Jaws.

The other essays are narrated by Walter Chaw, Drew McWeeny, Taylor Ramos and Tony Zhou.

Ceán Chaffin, Joshua Donen, Neil Kellerhouse, Ross M. Dinerstein, and Ross Girard serve as executive producers.

Voir will be available on Netflix from December 6, 2021.

Meanwhile, Fincher's latest film as a director is Mank which hit Netflix in 2020. The film is a black-and-white American biographical drama film about screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz and his work on the Citizen Kane screenplay (1941).

Fincher directed the black-and-white film, which was produced by Ceán Chaffin, Douglas Urbanski, and Eric Roth and based on a screenplay by his late father, Jack Fincher.

Amanda Seyfried, Lily Collins, Arliss Howard, Tom Pelphrey, Sam Troughton, Ferdinand Kingsley, Tuppence Middleton, Tom Burke, Jamie McShane, Toby Leonard Moore, Monika Gossman, and Charles Dance play alongside Gary Oldman in the main role.

On Netflix, Fincher has directed two episodes and served as an executive producer of House of Cards. He also helmed Mindhunter which is currently streaming on Netflix.
