The video of the song, featuring the lead pair and sung by Shreya Ghoshal, is out now.
Watching the video of a song you like has an extra appeal, especially if it is a film song featuring your favourite stars. Chances of them being released before the film are often rare, lest they give away something about the story. For fans of Sudeep’s Kotigobba 3 it’s been a wait of almost a month to see the songs with the right visuals.
While the hit Pataki Poriyo was released in the run-up to the film’s theatrical outing, only days ago the lullaby Kanda Kanda Aaliso Haadu, in KS Chitra’s mellifluous vocals, featuring Abirami, came out. And today, they’ve put out Nee Kotiyali Obbane, the Shreya Ghoshal song that has Madonna fantasizing about Sudeep in the film. Both the actors even bust a few moves in the song and look quite adorable together. It’s a song that Madonna seems to really like, as she had even sung a few lines quite well at a post-release event. The film’s music by Arjun Janya has been a hit on music charts.
Kotigobba 3, directed by Shiva Karthik, is the sequel to Sudeep’s earlier Kotigobba 2, and is based on a story plot by the actor, which was developed into a full-fledged script by the director. While Kotigobba 2 was about Sudeep’s Sathya pretending to be Shiva as well for certain reasons, Kotigobba 3 actually introduces audiences to Shiva, while taking the story forward from the previous installment.
This time around, Sudeep is paired with Mollywood import Madonna Sebastian, while Abhirami plays his mother and appears in a flashback sequence that is pivotal to the narrative.
