Arijit Singh went grocery shopping on a scooter recently

Arijit Singh has always been vocal about being in touch with his roots in West Bengal's Murshidabad. The singer was in his hometown recently and was filmed by one netizen while he went grocery shopping on a scooter, just like an aam aadmi.

In a video shared on Facebook by a user named Parvez Aziz, Arijit can be seen walking towards his scooter with a shopping bag in hand.

He then gets onto his scooter and rides away.

It didn't take long for the video to go viral. Netizens have been commenting on Arijit's simplicity and humble nature and the fact that, despite his fame, he is still so connected to his roots.

The comments on the post were all about how down-to-earth Arijit is.

One user posted, "Simplicity level Arijit Singh", while another posted, "So down to earth".

Arijit's mother is Bengali, while his father is a Sikh. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the singer shifted to Jiaganj from Mumbai. He has since also started wearing a turban.
