Anushka shared a message while shooting for the film in UK.
Anushka Sharma has transformed into Jhulan Goswami for her upcoming movie, Chakda Xpress. She in fact looks like a replica of the former Indian women’s team skipper. In fact, Jhulan herself came on sets to guide Anushka throughout the journey.
Anushka shared a video of her from the prep. The actress changed her look, most noticeably the hair.
Jhulan was spotted on the sets as Anushka practiced for her role. The actress was seen talking to Jhulan, who heard Anushka curiously.

The title Chakda Xpress was explained in the video too. The name Chakda was not derived from Chak De! India but instead is the name of the small town Jhulan grew up in.
Anushka is currently shooting for the movie in United Kingdom (UK). The actress shared a message for the movie on video. She called the film an eye-opener for her into the world of cricket. In fact, Anushka promises it would be an eye-opener for many who know little to nothing about women’s cricket.
The actress participated in announcing Netflix’s upcoming movie line-up. Her film Chakda Xpress will also be a direct-to-OTT release on the platform.
Anushka did not reveal when Chakda Xpress will release. However, the actress is currently practicing for the movie and so, one can expect the movie to be ready within two years, if things go as expected (and two years is stretching it).
Chakda Xpress is directed by Prosit Roy. It will tell the tale of the life of Jhulan Goswami, possibly on and off the cricket field.
