As far as Indian celebrity talk shows go, Koffee With Karan is always a few paces away. The show, which has already had six glorious and often controversial seasons, is all set to return for a seventh season. But the show’s makers have confirmed that the seventh season will stream directly on Disney+ Hotstar and will not be available on television.

The streaming platform has now shared a fun video ahead of the season’s release, compiling some of the best and funniest moments from the six seasons of the show, including some of Bollywood’s biggest stars.

“18 years and six seasons ago, a young man had a dream of becoming the best talk show host ever,” starts the video, before cutting into a clip of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol laughing on the Koffee With Karan couch. The video then shows us some fun moments from the show featuring stars such as Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Twinkle Khanna, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Alia Bhatt among others.

The video ends with the show’s host, Johar, explaining that the show returns for a seventh season, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. He also says that the new season will be “bigger, better and more beautiful”.

The first episode of the show aired on 19 November 2004 and since, some of the biggest stars of the country have sipped coffee with the filmmaker, spilling beans on their personal life, career and much more. The show has also found ways of becoming controversial, often running some celebrities into trouble.

The seventh season of Koffee With Karan is set to start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from July 7.
