Made In Heaven's show creators Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti clarify the buzz about one of their episodes being based on Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif!
Ever since the time Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s show ‘Made In Heaven’ had got premiered, it has been making news for some reason or the other. Be it about the ensemble cast or the impeccable directorial talent of Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti… the show has definitely become the talking point all across. Speaking of talking point, it was observed (on social media as well as from those who have seen it) that, in the France wedding episode of ‘Made In Heaven’, many speculated that, it was based on Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
But, in an interview with Mid Day, the show’s creators Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti denied that the show was based on Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. The said episode of ‘Made In Heaven’ starred Pulkit Samrat (in the superstar Sarfaraz Khan), while Elnaaz Norouzi did her role as his bride Leila. Speaking about the ‘observation’, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti clarified in the interview that Pulkit Samrat was really fun and that he was a really good actor and great fun to work with. And when she had directed him in season 1, she had a blast. She added that, there were many people who really liked him in the show and that, when they were writing the episode, they had thought of getting him (Pulkit Samrat) back and get him married. They also added that, they were not thinking of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. At this, Reema Kagti added that, one could interpret the way they like. For the unversed, the episode of France wedding was shot in France’s Nice, where the characters of Sarfaraz Khan (Pulkit Samrat) and Leila (Elnaaz Norouzi) have a destination wedding.
As for ‘Made in Heaven Season 2’, it had got premiered on Prime Video on August 10, 2023. The primary cast of the show consists of Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin and others.
