War 2: Ayan Mukerji meets Jr NTR in Hyderabad for film's pre-production work?

The pre-production work on War 2 has been going on for a while now. An announcement about War 2 was made earlier this year. Hrithik Roshan will be back in the second installment. Joining him in this action-thriller is RRR actor Jr NTR. While War was directed by Siddharth Anand, the second part is going to be helmed by filmmaker Ayan Mukerji. As per social media buzz, Ayan is currently in Hyderabad to meet Jr NTR regarding the pre-production work of the movie.

Ayan Mukerji delivered a successful film, Brahmastra in 2022. Months after the film's release, it was declared that he would be directing War 2, featuring Hrithik. Later on, Jr NTR came on board for the film. As the film is currently in its pre-production stage, Mukerji reportedly met the RRR actor for a discussion over the same.

Jr NTR's fan club shared an update about Ayan and Jr NTR's meeting in Hyderabad. "Director Ayan mukherjee met @tarak9999 anna today Regarding preproduction work of #WAR2 movie #ManOfMassesNTR #HrithikRoshan (sic)," a tweet by Jr NTR's fan club read.

For the unversed, this was Ayan and Jr NTR's second meeting for War 2 in Hyderabad, as per media reports. The film's shoot might begin by the end of this year.

On the work front for Jr NTR

Meanwhile, Jr NTR is currently occupied with the shoot of Devara. Janhvi Kapoor will be seen alongside him in the film. Saif Ali Khan, too, has an important part to play in the movie. It is being written and directed by Koratala Siva. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 5, 2024.

Once he wraps up Devara's shoot, Jr NTR is likely to begin full-fledged work on War 2. The movie, backed by Yash Raj Films, is expected to be released in cinemas in 2025.
