The actor shared a selection of his clicks to urge people to save and nurture wildlife
Challenging Star Darshan is a big-time animal lover, who not only has a collection of livestock at his farm in Mysuru, but also donates to the upkeep of animals in Zoos, besides lending his star power as brand ambassador of the Karnataka Forest Department, Mysuru Zoo, among others. In fact, one of his major activities during the pandemic and lockdown was to mobilise funds for zoos, by getting his followers to adopt animals. He recognized and thanked everyone’s efforts by sharing their adoption certificates on his social media accounts.
His love for animals also extends to photography, with the actor often taking off on wildlife safaris with his camera. Darshan, who has exhibited some of his work in Mysuru, has often spoken about his “very expensive passion”. In an earlier interaction with the media, the Challenging Star said that he’s spent close to Rs 50-60 lakh on cameras and relevant equipment. “The more time you spend outdoor, the more likely you will become a nature lover,” said the actor, adding that the hours and hours he spends tracking certain animals before getting the perfect shot have made him a more patient person.
Given this immense love for animals, it comes as no surprise that Darshan chose to share a selection of his wildlife clicks today on the occasion of World Wildlife Day. Along with the stunning images of tigers, elephants and birds, Darshan wrote, “Want to shoot animals?…use cameras! Wildlife: Save it to cherish or leave it to perish Nature is a treasure save it for pleasure think good to wildlife, be good to wildlife and do good to wildlife. #WorldWildlifeDay”.
Meanwhile, on the career front, Darshan is currently shooting for his 55thfilm, Kranti, directed by composer-turned-filmmaker V Harikrishna. The film, which reunites the actor with Rachita Ram is being backed by the team of his earlier project Yajamana, namely Shylaja Nag and B Suresha.
