Wamiqa Gabbi gets real about using Instagram, says 'bahot quick money hai yaar'; Netizens laud her honesty

Actress Wamiqa Gabbi received a lot of admiration and recognition through her transition of performances from Punjabi cinema to the Hindi film industry. Beyond her acting prowess, the actress is always appreciated for her beautiful and expressive eyes and infectious smile. With her recently released OTT films and shows, including Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley, Khufiya, and Jubliee the actress has garnered recognition from critics for her work. She became a trendsetter unto herself as a result and now a video of the actress is doing rounds on social media where Wamiqa talks about how it is 'easy' to make money from Instagram and hence she uses the social media platform.

Wamiqa Gabbi gets real about using Instagram

In a now widely shared video on Reddit, the actress is seen in a conversation where other actors including Gulshan Deviah and Adarsh Gourav, are also present, the actress honestly talks about earning easy money from Instagram. She says, "Why do I use Instagram? Bahot quick money hai yaar (it's instant money)."

She further says, "I don’t have to do the films that I don’t want to do because mujhe paise thode mil jaate hai Instagram ki ads se. And then I can at least sit at home and rather not do anything than do a film that I don’t want to do. So I’m working on social media just for that. Also jab koi acha kaam karte hai toh I have a larger audience to convey my message to that ‘Hey, I’ve just done this, would you like to watch it?’ Otherwise bahot depend karna padta hai ki itne logo tak vo baat pohoch jaaye. At least if I have a good following, meri vo baat jyada logo tak pohoch jayegi. That’s my only reason."

"Otherwise mujhe nahi lagta ki acting ka reels se kuch bhi lena dena hai. Mujhe lagta hai workshops karo, apne upar kaam karo, acche insaan bano, have empathy and auditions karo. Just work on yourself" (Otherwise, I don't think there is any connection with acting through reels. I believe in doing workshops, working on yourself, becoming a good person, having empathy, and auditioning. Just work on yourself), she concluded.

As soon as the video was uploaded, a lot of social media users commented on her honesty. A user wrote: "She’s so pretty and I love the honesty. No one else would actually say they’re using it for ‘quick money’." Another one wrote: "Never watched this woman but she seems smart". One user also commented, "Facts 💯IG has become a major source of income for actors, and influencers. She is brutally honest n that’s what I love about her."

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Wamiqa Gabbi will be next seen in Baby John alongside Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh. The film is produced by Atlee.
