Ever since the makers of Balakrishna-starrer Veera Simha Reddy announced its release date, fans of Chiranjeevi have been eagerly waiting to know the update on the release plans of Waltair Veerayya. The makers of the latter have now come up with an announcement regarding its release.

The action entertainer helmed by Bobby Kolli will hit the screens on January 13. Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan and Catherine Tresa are others who will be seen essaying important roles in the project. The first single from the movie, Boss Party, which was unveiled by the team recently, turned out to be a hit though it opened to mixed reactions among music lovers.

Devi Sri Prasad has composed music for the film which has been produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Arthur A Wilson and Niranjan Devaramane have handled cinematography and editing respectively, while stunt choreography has been jointly helmed by Ram-Laxman and Peter Hein.

Along with the release date announcement, the team has also unveiled a new poster of Waltair Veerayya featuring the megastar standing on a boat, sporting a massy avatar. The decision to release the film on January 13 has evoked mixed reactions among fans of Chiranjeevi.

As Balakrishna's movie is hitting the screens a day in advance, fans are concerned about the day one numbers of Waltair Veerayya. It is assumed that Veera Simha Reddy will be allocated a good number of screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Moreover, Vijay's Vaarasudu, which is also releasing on January 12, is likely to obtain many prestigious theatres.

The Chiranjeevi-starrer requires a huge positive word of mouth to sustain many theatres in the long run. The movie is also crucial for the star after the debacle of Acharya and below average performance of Godfather at the box office.
